Rules

To enter all participants will have to prepare their video and submit it before the convention as we will not have time over the weekend to judge all the entries. The three finalists for each category will be contacted before the weekend and their videos will be shown at the con on Sunday, before the winners are announced at the closing ceremony. To enter you have to upload the video to some web space, a free hosting site or a video streaming site that allows downloads without registration. No YouTube links, as the videos will be judged on video and sound quality so we need to see the original full quality version.

The full list of criteria on which the videos will be judged are:

• Video and sound quality
• Originality
• Entertainment value
• Editing
• Effort
• Sync to music

Some general guidelines for entries:

• The file must be smaller than 150mb
• The video must be under 5 minutes
• It must be original work
• No graphic sexual content
• All content must be animated, hand drawn, cell shaded, CG, etc.
• Video game cut scenes are allowed as long as they are anime themed or styled
• The following file types are allowed: avi, divx, wmv, mpg, mkv or mp4
• The following codecs are recommended: Xvid, Divx, H264 or WMV9
• Only one entry per category, although you may enter as many categories as you like
• Entries must be submitted by November 1st 2011

To enter, please submit the following information:

• Your real name
• Your age
• Which category you wish to enter
• The title of the anime or animes used
• The titles and artist of the music used
• A link to the file

Please do not enter if you do not intend to attend the convention! All of Eirtakon 2011's events are only open to attendees. If you are not at the closing ceremony when the winner is announced you will not receive a prize unless you inform the committee in person that you can not attend.

Any entry that does not conform to these rule will not be accepted. Any entrant found to have used part of or the entirety of another person's video will be disqualified and banned from future competitions.

You can submit your entry either by posting on the AMV competition thread in the Eirtakon forum or by emailing AMV-Submissions@Eirtakon.com. If you need somewhere to host your video we recommend Megaupload.com or Animemusicvideos.org
