Please note that the Term's and Conditions have been updated. All attendee's are bound by these rules and must read these before attending the convention.
General Guidelines:
1. Entrance fees for the convention - €15 for one day, €20 for weekend (includes a free t-shirt with weekend tickets, while stocks last).
2. File sharing is forbidden within the event venue.
3. The pub quiz of the Friday night is open only to people aged 18 and over. ID will be required by people wishing to attend regardless of age.
4. All children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Parents accompanying children under the age of 13 are eligible for free entry.
6. On accompanying a child to the convention, it is assumed that an adult has granted permission to that child to take part in any event (depending on age restrictions) over the convention unless the committee has been notified to the contrary.
7. Screening Rooms will be age rated depending on the showings. Children under the specified age cannot enter unless accompanied by an adult.
8. No alcohol/drugs are allowed on the premises. Offenders will be immediately expelled from the convention centre.
9. During screenings complete silence is expected. Please respect your fellow con-goers.
10. The use of any form of recording equipment during screenings is strictly forbidden. Anyone found using such equipment will be removed from the convention.
11. No animals are allowed in the convention venue at any time with the acceptation of seeing-eye dogs.
12. Eirtakon is an all ages event and as a result fowl language, especially in the presence of younger attendees is strictly forbidden.
13. Anyone found to be physically assaulting or making any unwanted physical contact with another attendee will be immediately removed. This includes the use of ‘Yaoi Paddles’ and ‘Glomping’
14. Tickets must be worn at all times, anyone in possession of but not wearing their ticket will not be granted entry until they put on their ticket.
15. Tickets are non-transferable, anyone found giving their ticket to someone else will be removed and have their ticket confiscated.
Cosplay Guidelines:
1. Anyone can enter Cosplay events: however children under the age of 13 must have parental permission.
2. The wearing of anime or manga inspired costumes is permitted, although no real (or realistic) uniforms or equipment of any military unit in existence after 1900 is permitted.
3. Costume weaponry inspired from any anime or manga will be allowed, however, no real, realistically scaled or replica weapons will be permitted at all. No metal weapons of any sort are allowed.
4. The Eirtakon Committee reserves the right to judge a costume unacceptable. Costumes or accessories deemed unacceptable must be removed or entry to the event will be refused.
Copies of the terms and conditions will be available on request, on the website and at the registration desk over the weekend. Ignorance is not an excuse. It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions beforehand and inquire about any problems/misunderstandings. On registering for the day or weekend you are assumed to have read and understood the terms and conditions and will therefore be subject to them.
